Our Story

Real Chinese food. By a family who means it.

Every spring roll we make is wrapped by hand, using recipes that crossed an ocean with our family.

A family recipe, a second generation

Our story starts with our parents — Chinese-Vietnamese refugees who arrived in the UK in the late 1970s with almost nothing except the family recipes. In 2003, Sau Wai Quan turned those recipes into a business, because the spring rolls in British supermarkets were bland, soggy — and everyone just accepted it. We didn't.

"They left behind a home, a language, a whole life. The one thing they never let go of was the recipes."

Today our team of 19 hand-wraps more than five million spring rolls a year, alongside chop suey rolls, samosas and classic Chinese soups — supplying wholesalers, restaurants and independent retailers across the UK. Nothing about how we make our food has changed: real ingredients, no artificial flavours or preservatives, and every single roll finished by hand.

What we won't compromise

Inherited, not invented

Our recipes weren't developed in a lab. They were carried across an ocean and passed down a generation.

Hand-wrapped, every time

Machines can't fold a spring roll the way our team can. Ours fry up light and crispy.

Real ingredients only

If we wouldn't serve it to our own family, we won't sell it to yours.
